Green Flag
As part of our work for our first Green Flag, we now have several bins in the school. We are dividing our rubbish into 1. food 2. plastic 3. metal 4. glass 5. paper 6. non recyclable.
We are also collecting old clothes, used batteries, old mobile phones and chargers as well as used stamps. Please send in as much of these as you can!!!!
First Communion
2nd Class will be making their First Communion tomorrow (Saturday 10th May) in our church at 11am. All welcome to come along. They have been working hard preparing for this and their art work went into the church today.
Green Flag Committee
We have set up a green flag committee with 10 children from 2nd class, 3rd class, 4th class, 5th class and 6th class. We are working towards getting our first green flag for the school. The flag looks at litter and waste. We are trying to reduce the litter and waste that we produce every day. Also, we are trying to recycle more.

2nd Class have been busy writing about the future!!
Procedural Writing
Junior Infants have been writing about making a cup of tea.
Senior Infants have been writing about making a fruit salad.
Second class have been writing about making sandwiches.
First Class made lemonade.
Fourth Class have been writing about the game of hopscotch.
Storytelling
A storyteller came to talk to 1st and 2nd classes.
2nd Class went to Christchurch Cathedral.
